[Advance Notice] Major changes in the new update of Windows WORKS Drive Explorer in the first half of the year

Hello, this is Naver Works . We would like to inform you in advance about major changes related to the new update of Windows WORKS Drive Explorer in the first half of the year. [Change Drive Explorer synchronization method] Changed from the existing on/offline smart synchronization method of files and folders to a virtual drive/1:1 synchronization method. 1. Virtual drive mode This is how all files and folder data in the old NAVER WORKS Drive folder are saved and synchronized to the virtual drive as a virtual drive is automatically created on my PC. Virtual drives are synchronized in real time with online-only file status. The virtual drive displays all files and folders from the PC Web Drive service without any separate settings. On my PC, a virtual drive is created as W:. ※ If you already have a W: drive, it may be displayed with a different extension. ※ Reference image) Folder displayed when selecting the virtual drive “NAVER WORKS Drive (W:)” created on my computer 2. 1:1 synchronization method You can set up 1:1 synchronization between My PC folder and a specific folder in PC Web Drive. Files in folders with synchronization settings can be accessed and used offline. How to set up 1:1 synchronization 1) [Settings > Sync Settings] Select the “Add” button in ‘1:1 Folder Sync Settings’ 2) Select the folder on my PC and the Works Drive folder to be synchronized, set each, and then select the “OK” button. 3) Synchronization settings are complete. The two configured folders will be synchronized in real time. ※ This is a setting that connects 1 My PC folder and 1 Works Drive folder 1:1, so synchronization settings are not possible if there are folders under the selected folder. ※ When you set up synchronization for the first time, the synchronization setting is not automatically activated. Be sure to change the synchronization toggle button to 'ON' to proceed with synchronization. [Note] When the new Drive Explorer is updated, data in the old NAVER WORKS Drive folder will remain intact, but will no longer be synchronized. To ensure stable synchronization of the new Drive Explorer, please close the old Explorer after editing and saving all files in the old Drive Explorer before updating. After the update, the synchronization of the folder 'NAVER WORKS Drive' that was being synchronized with the existing drive explorer will be canceled, and you can access all folders/files saved in the drive from 'My PC > NAVER WORKS Drive (W:)'. You can specify the folder of the virtual drive 'NAVER WORKS Drive' as the path in other Windows apps, but this is not recommended because the path may temporarily disappear when you close the Drive Explorer and log out. If necessary, set '1:1 Folder Synchronization' and specify the folder you have set for synchronization. The updated version of WORKS Drive Explorer is available for Windows 11 22H2 or later (64bit), Windows 10 21H2 or later (64bit). thank you
